Our signature Aventura Spa treatment, Temazcal, is unique among Mexico resorts. This traditional Mexican sweat bath, developed in Mesoamerica hundreds or even thousands of years ago, is similar to the ancient sweat lodge tradition of the indigenous peoples of the United States. The name Temazcal comes from the native Nahuatl (Aztec) language for “bath house,” and describes a small round stone structure with a pit holding hot volcanic rocks. In the Temazcal treatment, water is poured on the hot rocks to produce steam that is calming and therapeutic.
Our Hydrotherapy area is second to none, with a calming ambiance of scented candles, soft lighting, the sound of cascading waters and peaceful rhythms. All Spa packages include complimentary use of the hydrotherapy facilities on the day of your scheduled appointment.
